What's the deal with the artwork?
I relate to taste in colours. When I experience a coffee — the acidity, the florals, the texture — I try to put that down visually and share it. The intention is that when you're drinking the coffee, you look at the art on the bag in front of you and feel something that connects. Not a literal translation, just a vibe that resonates.
My wife suggested I pull from my painting hobby after the cards were feeling flat. I've been enjoying making them ever since. Some are digitally tweaked from the originals, but they're all rooted in my actual paintings.
How do drops work?
For each drop I put together a set of coffees with a good mix of origins, processes, and flavour profiles. Everything in the current collection becomes available to order with quantities attached when a drop goes live.
Up to a week before the drop, I send a newsletter with the full lineup — coffees, pricing, bag sizes, tasting notes, and artwork — so you're not checking the site constantly. Crowdfunding backers get early access and first pick before the drop opens to everyone. I aim to keep enough quantity available that non-backers can order too.
Coffees that move from the current collection to Past Releases are gone, making room for something new.
How long does it take to roast and ship?
Being a one man operation, the whole process of roasting, QC, packing and shipping while keeping the quality standards takes longer than the average roastery. I aim to roast, pack, and ship within 2 - 4 weeks of your order.
Shipping costs
Currently, shipping is charged at cost. Once the P3000 drops are live: free shipping in the Netherlands on orders above €60, free shipping in the EU above €100, and a fixed fee for the rest of the world.
