This coffee is extra special in the lineup. Not just because it’s a fantastic coffee, bursting with clean fruit and florals, but because it’s the first release (#1 out of 10) of a coffee picked by one of the top tier backers from the crowdfunding.

I sent them 4 samples in June and we hopped on a call once they had tasted them, to compare notes. All 4 were good and had something special to offer, but this one was a clear standout and an easy win.

Their cupping notes:
Total floral bomb on the table and one of my favorites from the flight. Hits with intense florals and a bergamot vibe upfront. As it cooled down, it opened up with clear lychee sweetness and fruitiness on the back end. Acidity is bright and pleasant, paired with a lighter body and great cup clarity.

Note: the painting I did for this coffee got ruined by a leak at home, so I took my picture of it and ran it through an AI image generator to clean it up and be useable for the drop.
